Race planner

your next race

How the race planner works

One sheet per car. Everything saves by itself, and everyone with the link sees the same sheet.

  1. Pick your car's sheet in the tabs at the top, or press New sheet. Sheets made from the line-ups already have the track, class, start and drivers.
  2. Fill in the event: track, car, race start, length, lap time, fuel and virtual energy per lap, tank and tyres. Use as lap time puts in the average race pace of the car's drivers.
  3. Calculation results show laps, stints, pit stops, fuel and tyres, and the timeline draws the whole race.
  4. Drivers: add them from the team roster to see their time zone and race pace on this track.
  5. iRacing: set Sim to iRacing. Virtual energy disappears (stints are set by fuel), Max fuel fill covers series that limit the tank, and Drivers checks the fair share each driver needs.
  6. Stint and tyre strategy: set Stints per turn to 2 or 3 for double or triple stints, change or move any stint by hand, mark wet stints and where new tyres go.
  7. Fuel saving check and Wet running: the planner shows the most fuel (and energy in LMU) you can use per lap to stretch every stint by 1, 2 or 3 laps, and the pit stops that leaves. Enter your saving numbers to see if it pays off, and your wet numbers for the rain.
  8. Time of day in the game (optional): enter the track time when the race starts, like 16:00 at Le Mans, and the time speed. Each stint then shows its time on track and whether it runs by day or by night.
  9. Line-up thread: sheets made from the line-ups are linked to their Discord thread. Send to line-up posts the strategy there, with the image and every stint in each driver's own time.
  10. When the plan is ready: Download strategy (an image with the whole sheet) to share in Discord, then Close sheet so it disappears for everyone.

Safe to try

Clear sheet, Close sheet and removing a driver ask for a second click: the button turns red first.
